Bowl:
- Bowl which functions as diffuser consists vanes which are cast integrally.
- These are of Francis (BHR), mixed flow (BHQ, BHM, BHK), Semi-axial (BHMa) type.
- Enclosed or semi-open type of impeller is offered depending upon model.
- Designed for smooth inflow of water with minimum losses.
- The shaft is of high tensile strength steel suitable designed considering the loads.
- Either cast or fabricated, it houses line shaft bearings and directs water from bowl assembly to discharge head/elbow.
- Transmission bearings: Cutless bearings are of natural/synthetic rubber
- Elastomeric with outer shell of brass or suitable material.
- Lubrication by self/external clear water.
- Oil lubrication with bronze bearing is also available upon request.
- To direct flow from column pipe to discharge pipe located above or below ground level with single floor or two-floor arrangement as per requirement.
- Mitchell Tilting pad type or antifriction type for taking hydraulics axial thrust and weight of rotor assembly.
- Lubrication is with oil or grease.
- Thrust bearing arrangement is available either independently in pump and drive or combined thrust arrangement in drive.
- To prevent reverse rotation, available on request
- Rigid construction to ensure vibration-free operation of pump set.
- For pump and prime mover flexible or rigid as per requirement. For line shaft threaded barrel or muff type as per requirement.
- Clockwise when viewed from driving end.
- Electric motor with vertical solid/ hollow shaft is a standard arrangement.
- Diesel engine / steam turbine available with a right angle gear unit upon request.
- The vertical turbine pump VS1 hydraulic design is being updated with our continuous R&D efforts to meet requirements of high efficiency and low submergence, taking care of other parameters, such as high reliability and optimum system design.
These large, customizable pumps offer efficiencies up to 92 percent, and are available in single- and multiple-stage configurations with multiple impeller options to cover various operating conditions. Engineered to meet your demands VTS Super Pumpingvertical c turbine pumps have the versatility to solve the unique challenges of your application with:
- Customizable configurations for site-specific needs
- Application-specific product options and material choices
- Industry-leading efficiencies
- Minimal floor space requirements
- Options for low-NPSHa conditions and suction lift concerns
Our pump portfolio has delivered the coverage and dependability required in the municipal, power, industrial and agricultural markets for over 50 years. VTS Super Pumpingexperienced engineering and field support teams are here to help you choose the right solution, and support you throughout the life of the product. Just ask!

Submersible column pumps are low-cost, compact pumping stations that do not require any superstructure and can transport large volumes of water at low heads. The slim profile of these pumps provides a considerably smaller footprint than a non-submersible pump.

Features and Benefits
- Hydraulic coverage from 50 -20K GPM
- High pressure solutions
- Industry-leading efficiencies across coverage range
- Options for low-NPSHa conditions and suction lift concerns
- Application-specific product options and material choices, including option for corrosive/abrasive services
- Customizable configurations for site-specific needs, such as above/below ground discharge
- Minimal floor space requirements
- Vertical Hollow Shaft or Vertical Solid Shaft motor options
Product Features
- Hydraulic coverage from 15K-50K GPM
- High pressure solutions
- Industry-leading efficiencies across coverage range
- Options for low-NPSHa conditions and suction lift concerns
- Application-specific product options and material choices, including option for corrosive/abrasive services
- ustomizable configurations for site-specific needs
- In-line piping connection options for easier and less costly installations
- Minimal floor space requirements
- Multistage canned vertical turbine pumps offer the same versatility and performance as our lineshaft pumps and are ideal for closed-loop boosting. These are short-set lineshaft pumps with suction piping connected to a can (or sleeve) inlet, which allows the can to create the pump reservoir. A canned turbine pump is a perfect solution for site locations where suction piping exists, rather than an existing sump or reservoir.

The Super Pumping vertical turbine, double casing pump is a diffuser type, single or multistage design for services with limited NPSH available.
Applications:
Agriculture, Condensate Extraction, Crude, Product and CO2 Pipeline, Dewatering and Water Supply (mining), Gas Treating and Sulfur Recovery, Ground Water Development and Irrigation, Water and CO2 Injection, Nuclear Service, Offsites and Waste Treatment, Snowmaking, Water Supply and Distribution (water), Water Treatment, LNG
Industries:
General Industries, Mining, Water Resources, Power Generation, Oil and Gas
Solid Shaft Motor includes thrust bearing to withstand the total hydraulic thrust as well as the rotor wirght.
Rigid, Adjustable Flanged Coupling provides the proper impeller clearance adjustment.
Bowls are designed with multiple diffuser vanes and flanged construction. Bowl bearings on either side of the impeller provide rigid shaft support.
Enclosed or Semi-Open Impellers are cast to provide smooth passageways for more efficient fluid flow.
Suction Bell is designed to provide efficient fluid flow into the eye of the first stage impeller.
Operating Parameters
Flows to 13 600 m3/h (60 000 gpm)
Heads to 1070 m (3500 ft)
Pressures to 100 bar (1450 psi)
Temperatures from -45°C (-50°F) to 230°C (450°F)
Multistage lineshaft vertical turbine pumps are ideal for wet pit, open sump, or deep well pumping. Lineshaft vertical turbines are configured such that the hydraulic components are submerged into the pumped fluid while the motor is located above ground, making it easy to access electrical components.
This style of pump offers more material and configuration flexibility than submersible pump and motor combinations for applications with higher temperatures or varying fluid properties. Lineshaft column assemblies can be open or enclosed, depending on the application.
